Lauren Larson Smith, CLM
Hello! I have been in the world of law firm administration since 2009 and love what I do. I have always said that I do “everything under the administrative umbrella” when asked, and thus the name of Admin Umbrella LLC was born. Working in both small and large firms in various practice areas over the years as a Firm Administrator, Human Resources Manager, Accounts Payables Manager, and Paralegal, I have gained invaluable experience in running the administrative side of a law firm or small business. I am a Certified Legal Manager (CLM) through the Association of Legal Administrators of which I am a member of both the national and Atlanta chapters and have served on various committees. I am also currently CEO and President of Power Suit Project, a professional women’s 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to mentorship, professional growth, and networking in the Atlanta area. I have worked in firms in the practice areas of personal injury, labor and employment defense, insurance defense, and real estate, and I have assisted several firms in rapid growth trajectories meet and exceed their goals by hiring personnel, acquiring and administering new benefits and retirement plans, negotiating lease agreements, and designing and implementing highly efficient operational procedures. I also have experience in customer service and in managing companies in other fields. Prior to entering the legal field, I trained to be an operatic soprano and obtained my bachelors degree in Music Education. I have a passion for order and accuracy as well as an insatiable appetite for human interaction and intellectual stimulation, which eventually lead me to the legal field. I am the daughter of entrepreneurs and have always loved being involved in the management and growth of businesses which led me to open Admin Umbrella LLC. I love to travel and try new things.
